| Central Dust Collection System |
 |
One large central dust collector system can often do the work of dozens of smaller, individual air cleaners, providing complete industrial plant dust collection for the entire facility.
Central dust collection systems generally consists of large media dust collectors (such as cartridges or baghouses) with an inertial separator used as a pre-sorter (such as a cyclone or drop out box). The pre-sorter removes large chips, then the media filtration removes fine particles. Large chips are collected in bins or drums.
Filtration media often uses some form of cleaning such as mechanical shaking or a sudden pulse of air that knocks built up dust cake from the filters. Electrostatic precipitators are rarely used for large dust collectors, since they do not have the capacity to store a large volume of dust. Though, electrostatic air cleaners are frequently used along side central systems to clean atmospheric background dust that is not captured by the ducted system.
Advantages of a Central Dust Collection System
Equipment Cost: Often the deciding factor when choosing a dust collection solution. Depending on the cost of ductwork and installation, a central dust collection system can initially cost less than purchasing 12 or more individual dust collectors.
Waste Removal: As dusty air is filtered, waste dust is collected in bines, drawers or hoppers. Waste removal from one location verses many locations is easier and thus more cost effective. Filter Replacement: Replacing filters from 12 or more separate machines will cost more than regular filter replacement of one large dust collector designed for heavy loads.
Energy Consumption: Your energy bill will be lower when powering one big dust collector than if you try to power a dozen or so dust collector motors. Noise: Imagine the noise from 12 or more dust collector motors and blowers running in a work area. Now take that noise, put it all in one big motor / blower and tuck it away in its own area, away from workers.
Maintenance: You can go either way on maintenance. With multiple air cleaners, you have that many more parts to replace. With one central dust collector, you only have one set of components to maintain. On the other hand, if your central dust collection system goes down, all workstations go down. |

| Rotary Melting Furnace |

The rotary melting furnace is the most flexible and universal design of equipment to recycle aluminium scrap. Due to the nature of its operation all scrap forms can be recycled with good results.
The rotary furnace is rotated either by a friction drive wheel system or a positive rack/pinion or chain drive depending upon the size and production requirements. A single door is utilised with either vertical, horizontal rotation or a pendulum type swing arrangement depending upon the plant layout.
A high efficiency fume extraction system is provided either fixed directly on the furnace which tilts with the furnace and exhausts through a rotary joint or simply by a high level fume collection hood / housing.
Rotary furnaces have been traditionally static but over recent years tilting designs have been implemented due to the many advantages with regard to reduced cycle times, yields and consumptions.
Mechatherm engineer rotary furnaces to suit all applications and client requirements. We can supply oxy-fuel burner system, cold air burner operating on either fuel oil or gas. Any size of furnace or configuration can be developed by Mechatherm of either static or tilting design.

We can supply all the interconnection ducting and dampers, air coolers, heat exchangers, bag or ceramic filters, spark arrestors, cyclones, I/D fan and exhaust stack. Dosing systems comprising lime, PAC or sodium bicarbonate can be integrated to neutralise acid gases and minimise dioxin formation. |

These elevator batch ovens are often used in the aerospace, glass, and automotive industry. The concept of an elevator oven is very simple, and it's name is derived from the process. The product, often loaded in baskets or on a grid, is positioned under the elevator oven and is attached to a lift mechanism. The load is then lifted into the chamber and the doors, located on the bottom, are closed. The elevator oven then proceeds with the heat treat of the load. Because the chamber is directly above the load car, an elevator oven cuts floor space in half. In water cooled blowers the main casing & side plates have water jackets around them, where water is circulated, which dissipates the heat generated and keeps the internals cool. Water cooled blowers are recommended for applications where discharge pressures exceed 7000 mm WG, since it is essential to dissipate heat for efficient working and long life of the bearings and seals. Everest blowers have a unique design of single inlet & single outlet for cooling water and no cumbersome water pipe co-nnections externally. Internal circulation of water to various areas is through inbuilt channels. This unique design makes the operations very simple, yet very effective. The cooling water inlet is at the bottom so that the water rises up against gravity, reaching all the corners before it comes out from the outlet.
